That's right!  I had forgotten about the Heroes finale.  I'm sure that played a big part in it as well.

Maybe once the replay and DVR ratings come in, things will look up before the final numbers are in next week.

Oh and something we learned in this episode, but I'll have to double check to be sure ... the show takes place in Illinois.  At least that's what I thought the state on the liscense plate was.  Ever since the hunting episode and the cheesehead comments, I've been curious.  I knew it had to be somewhere in the midwest.

They talked about the Blackhawks too last episode.  Definitely in Illinois, yay we’re on the map! 

LOL, that just shows how much I follow sports.  I wasn't even thinking about where that team would be.  Do they play in Chicago?  Yet the show doesn't appear to be set there...

Yup, they’re our professional hockey team, and doing very well this season I might add   At the United Center (in Chicago) which was also shown in the last episode. 

There have been a few hints here and there, I wish I could remember them all but the cheesehead comment you mentioned is the other one that sticks out the most. 



I'm surprised at the drop in ratings too, Two and a Half Men is supposed to be the biggest competition and they're already on repeats.

I can't believe that almost a week has passed and I still haven't found time to post about this episode.  I'm just gonna make a quick couple of comments and then come back when I have more time.

What a great episode! I loved that it finally showed that we all have a dark side to some extent. A little bit of relief for Sam who must have been thinking she was the only person in the world that needed to redeem herself (apart from Andrea of course).  And showing that her mum and in fact her entire female lineage is where Bad Sam originates, was great.

I loved all the characters in this ep.  It was so well played out in every scene and they all gave the best insight into their true selves.   I'm a little sad that we didn't get any Todd or Frank - both of them missing in the same episode!!   But I guess I can cope because it was so great.

Quotes that I loved were:

Dena: Right now we're just pushing a car around a lake. Good clean fun!

After Samantha explaining to Andrea and Dena how she is not coping with all the lying which was creating a huge web of deceit...

Andrea: "Honey, I'm an attorney! Web of deceit is where I get my mail."

Yay for Chicago!  My favorite city!  I wondered from the Pilot if that's where they were . . . there are few cities that are so closely tied to their suburbs where people go back and forth so frequently (such as Sam's apartment in the city with Frank the doorman and her parents' house).  My ex-boyfriend is from Chicago and his parents had a place downtown and the suburbs -- in the span of a day we would go back and forth to each place several times.  Then the United Center being in The Hockey Date confirmed it.  I'm so happy the show is set there!

I did liked the episode. The relationship between Sam and her parents was very well done. I also liked Dena and Andrea together - how Andrea waited for Dena and managed to get all the information from her.

I had watched this episode on tv episodes online for free. I enjoyed watching it.
