Actor:

Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971) is an American Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated actress, particularly well-known for playing the very attractive, promiscuous, dim-witted Kelly Bundy on the Fox television network sitcom Married… with Children. She has since established a film and television career, with major roles in several pictures, such as Anchorman, The Sweetest Thing, the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? and recently starred on Broadway in a revival of the musical Sweet Charity.

Character:

Samantha Newly was a bitch. Self-absorbed, back-stabbing, trash-talking and hard-drinking, Samantha was the girl who stole your boyfriend, shaved your cat and keyed your car. As a ruthless developer for the prestigious Chicago real estate firm of Chapman & Funk, Samantha was the one who condemned your granny's house to build a new mini-mall. Lucky for her, she doesn't remember any of that.

After a hit-and-run accident leaves her with retrograde amnesia, Samantha has no memories of her sordid past. As she pieces together clues about her life, Samantha quickly realizes that she was a horrible person. Grateful that she's been given a fresh start, Samantha sets about to do things differently this time around. But while her intentions are good, there's still the specter of "Bad Sam" lurking in the wings, not to mention the trail of enemies and victims that Bad Sam has left behind.

"Last night, the clerk at the video store started crying when I walked in. Apparently, I tried to have her fired because she thought "Forrest Gump" was a good movie. I should wear a shirt that says "SOOOOORRRRRRRYYYYYY" on it. Or maybe just a little pin. Bad Sam did have really good taste in clothes." With the help of her friends and family, Samantha must start over, reconciling who she was with who she wants to be.

I have something bad to say about Sam, not Christina, I absolutely hate that she cheated on Todd, I think that's one of the worst things that Bad Sam did..

I thought that was pretty low too.  And I hated the implication from Andrea that Sam was with him only for the money (when he offered taking his jet to Paris or wherever).  Yuck.

Yeah, Andrea is very... "fake", I guess, and I don't like how she tried to influence Sam... for the worse.

I kinda wonder who was worse in the bad Sam days.  Was it Sam or Andrea?  Was Sam a bad influence on Andrea then like Andrea is now?  I sort of think it must have been Sam who was worse because she is the VP at work and Andrea is not so Sam must have really stabbed some backs to move up to the top (or used her womanly ways, either way it makes her a little worse than Andrea).

Good point! *PS in spirit* I've been wondering the same thing too.  It also makes me wonder how much of a 'friend' Andrea really was.  Could she have been using her just to move up?  She never even saw her in the hospital.  (wait maybe this should move to the Andrea unappreciation thread)

Andrea is very fake. I don't like how she tried to influence Sam for the worse thing.

At its best, entertainment is going to be a subjective thing that can't win for everyone, while at worst, a particular game just becomes a random symbol for petty tribal behavior.
